The series returned to Petco Park, San Diego, for round six. Cooper Webb, had the red plate back, and was tied for the championship lead. He took the holeshot, and won the second heat race; Alex Martin finished third, and Mitchell Harrison took the final transfer spot, ninth. Harrison and Martin both had a few spills in the main, finishing fourteenth and fifteenth. Webb came from a mid-pack start, and got into second. His chances of getting into the lead looked promising, but he slid out, losing three positions. After doing some damage control, he was able to regain the second place spot, which was where he finished for the night.
