The Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha team showed that their outshining performance at Glen Helen was not just a once off occurrence. They dominated the second round at Hangtown, Sacramento on May 31, 2014.
250 Moto 1: Jeremy Martin was third off the start and gained control of the race by passing for the lead on the second corner. He maintained last week’s dominating performance and took the win on the Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha, with a 19.3 second lead. Cooper Webb was fourth off the start and soon went into third. He went down in an attempt to pass for second position but got up and charged on, managing to catch and pass Justin Bogle, the 2014 Supercross East Coast Champion. He finished the first moto in a strong second position.
250 Moto 2: The Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamahas were upfront right from the start in the second moto, with Jeremy getting the holeshot and Cooper in second. Cooper lost a position and fell into 3rd but soon regained the second spot. Jeremy won with a 21 second lead and Cooper finished second.
The team heads to Colorado, on June 6, for the third round of the series. Martin will run the series red plate, with a twelve point lead over his teammate, Cooper Webb.
