This weekend was the ninth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at Spring Creek in Millville, Minnesota. It was the Mysplash/Metal Mulisha/ Star Racing / Yamaha team member of Jeremy Martin number 77 hometown race and he delivered a great performance. In the first moto Jeremy got a stellar start behind Wil Hahn. He made the pass on lap 6 and led the first moto for seven laps until Eli Tomac fought his way by. Martin earned a very respectable 2nd place finish. In the second moto Martin came around 5th on the first lap prior to getting passed by a few riders and finishing a strong 7th. Hometown track has its advantages and Martin enjoyed waking up in his bed and walking to the pro pits in the morning! Martin tied for second with 36 points on the day however due to his second moto finish he got 4th overall. He currently sits 8th in points.
Kyle Cunningham, 38, had a rough weekend. In the first moto Cunningham came around on the first lap in 10th place. He worked his way to 8th and then had a mechanical issue and fought hard for 15th place. In the second moto, Kyle came around 7th on the first lap and crashed out of the moto on the third lap finishing 37th. Cunningham earned 19th overall for the day and sits 9th in points.
The rookie Cooper Webb, 175, also had a rough weekend but is looking to build on his results during the off weekend. In the first moto, Webb got a bad start and came around 18th on the first lap. He had a crash on the third lap and was unable to finish the rest of the moto and got 37th. In the second moto, Cooper had a 9th place start and got 10th. Webb earned 16th overall for the day and is currently 10th in the overall point standings.
