The third round in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at Muddy Creek proved to be another learning weekend for the Mysplash/Metal Mulisha/ Star Racing / Yamaha team.

Cooper Webb had an up and down weekend while continuing to learn the ropes on the professional circuit. Webb Had a third place start in moto one and made some smart moves and found himself in the lead on the first lap. But Webb soon received heavy pressure from points leader Ken Roczen, who soon made his way passed Webb. Webb’s work was not done as he still had veterans of the class like Musquin, Blake Baggett, Zach Osborne, Jason Anderson and Eli Tomac to deal with. Webb held off Osborne and Anderson, but succumbed to the pressure of Baggett and Tomac. Coming away with another top 5 for the rookie!  Cooper Webb’s second moto bad luck continued at Muddy Creek. Webb was battling Marvin Musquin for second on the first lap of the second moto, but he cross-rutted and crashed in the big sweeper following the finish line. The mistake left Webb in dead last. Fitness is a big strength of Webb and it showed as he fought back to a 15th place finish. Cooper placed 10th overall.

Jeremy Martin the Minnesota native also had an up and down weekend. Martin was mixed in with the huge battle for the top five in the first moto but a crash left him in 21st. He would recover for a hard fought tenth in the second moto after coming from deep in the pack. Martin is putting his head down and looking to recover with stronger results in the up coming weekends. Martin was 15th overall this weekend.

The Veteran of Kyle Cunningham, had a consistent weekend at Muddy Creek. Kyle had a top 10 start in the moto one and found himself in 8th place just behind strong group of veterans including Osborne and Anderson. In the second moto, Cunningham rode to a solid 11th. Cunningham placed 8th overall proving consistency will earn a top 10 finish.
